Jamestown - Maude E. Wilson, 99 of Jamestown died at 2 a.m. today (April 20, 1979) in Witham Hospital at Lebanon where she had been a patient 5 weeks. Mrs. Wilson had been a member of Jamestown Christian Church for 83 years and a Jamestown resident 91 years. She was born Nov 30, 1879 at Clayton, a daughter of John B. and Avaline Lowry Yelton. On Nov 24, 1901 she was married at Jamestown to Thomas J. Wilson who died in 1945. Surviving are two sons, John R. Wilson of Jamestown and Maurice Wilson of Sherman Oaks, Calif; a daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Hammill of Osprey, Fla; 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ethel Grimes. Services will be at 2 p.m Sunday in Porter Funeral Home at Jamestown with Rev. John Puckett officiating. Burial will be in Jamestown IOOF cemetery. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Saturday.
